Government ban on single-use plastic products
As of 1 July 2023, the Government is placing a ban on all plastic produce bags, cutlery and straws.
Gilmours has already deleted all plastic straws (July 2019) and polystyrene plastic cutlery (Oct 2022) – now all PLA compostable cutlery and PLA compostable straws must be deleted by 1 July.
Stores will also not be able to use or offer to customers, plastic produce bags from 1 July.
